Sunsetter is a much older and more well established company, but I’m sure that they are both roughly equivalent.

Question by COspringsyo: retractable awning or build covering roof?
We have a large deck but the sun is too much on us. What are pros/cons of a awning vs building a roof to cover. What is average price difference?

one suggestion would be to put up a purgola type structure above the deck
this would cut down on the direct sunlight, but would still allow for air flow
any fully enclosed structure, either awning or solid roof would trap hot air and could become uncomfortable
